mark surowiecki

Auction Generalist, Associate Auctioneer, Early Photography & Advertising Specialist

Mark spent time earlier in his career developing a strong passion for antiques, with a focus in antique photography and cameras. He has frequented antiques shows, auctions, and flea markets alike, which laid the groundwork for his position at eHammer Auctions. Mark has a college degree in education. Post-graduation found him involved in international volunteerism, most notably spending two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Georgia, where he taught English in a small village. At that time, Mark helped build an English classroom for a school through the implementation of a small grant, and co-facilitated several summer camps for Georgian youth, alongside his teaching responsibilities.

Mark expertly manages the warehouses at eHammer Auctions and New England Auctions. You will also see him co-auctioneering on auction days. He oversees the wrapping and moving of consignments as well as cataloguing of items. He is our resident specialist in early photography and advertising. In his free time, Mark enjoys hitting the gym and spending time outside with his dogs.
