Raised by creative parents in Ivoryton CT, Kate was an artist, designer and collector from an early age. She went on to attend Rhode Island School of Design where she was able to pursue her artistic interests. Upon graduation she moved to Seattle, Washington, where she started her career in the art world as the gallery director for Kenneth Behm Fine Art Gallery, only leaving her beloved job to seize the opportunity to live abroad in Amsterdam. After a hiatus from the work world to raise her two daughters, Kate returned not only to her home state of Connecticut, but to the world of arts and antiques by joining eHammer Auctions in June of 2024. Kate's earlier career experiences have formulated her amazing ability to serve clients with care and compassion. She balances many facets of her job, like overseeing staff in daily tasks, connecting with clients, artfully setting up galleries for previewing and troubleshooting when required. Now an empty nester, she and her husband spend their time collecting and restoring mid-century modern furniture and spoiling their two dogs Oly and Spencer.
